Which Equipment Should Be Selected for Metal Powder Screening

Metal powders are widely used in industrial production. Whether it is pure metal powders or alloy powders, if you want to classify metal powders by different particle sizes and meshes, it is inseparable from screening equipment. Screening requirements and the screening equipment used are also different.

Metal powder can be divided into five grades: coarse powder, medium powder, fine powder, fine powder and ultra-fine powder according to the size of the particles. Particles with a particle size in the range of 150 to 500μm are coarse powders, particles with a particle size of 44 to 150μm are medium powders, particles with 10 to 44μm are fine powders, particles with 0.5 to 10μm are extremely fine powders, and particles smaller than 0.5μm For superfine powder.
For coarse powder and medium powder, we can choose the sieve with rotary vibrating screen equipment. Rotary vibrating screen is a high-precision fine powder sieving machine. Vertical motor is used as the excitation source. Eccentric blocks are installed on the upper and lower ends of the motor to convert the rotary motion of the motor into horizontal, vertical and inclined three-dimensional motion Then, this motion is transmitted to the screen surface, so it is also called a three-dimensional vibrating screen. The fully enclosed structure is suitable for screening and filtering of granules, powder, slime and other materials. To sieve finer metal powders, an ultrasonic sieving system must be added. The ultrasonic vibrating sieve can sieve powders as fine as 10μm.

And if it is to screen large-scale large-volume production, you can use a tumbler screen equipment to screen. Tumbler sieve is currently the most effective type of vibrating screen to simulate the movement of manual sieving, which meets the needs of large-volume and high-precision screening.
